Black and Blue Prettie?

That doesn't sound so good does it, 'call the authorities'!!!  LOL  Seriously, today's challenge at the Paper Clip was to make a card just using blues with black and white.   Now I am very sorry as I am late on the Wednesday challenge blog hop but this DT thing well, I need to get organized.  I know we had the challenge but I was totally unaware that it was a hop!!! So if you got to me and found nothing, well there was a reason....I didn't post one!  I am so sorry to my Pretties team.  I will get my act together I promise!!!

Copic Challenge!

Paper Pretties was a sponser this week over at the Copic Colour Challenge blog and the challenge was to create something with this colour combo.  If you played along, there was also a prize up for grabs, this great set Look Who's Perky from Paper Pretties.   So make something great and link up your creation to win.

I didn't have any of them so I just did alot of blending to match up with those colours best I could.  I think it turned out just great!  Have a great Remembrance Day as most of you may have work off today but not me!  But it will be a quiet one and I hope to catch up on 'that pile' I keep ignoring!   See ya later with more challenges I will be posting!  Ciao!

 

A New Prettie Birthday Hop!

Today is new Prettie Girl Jennifer's birthday and we are having a little hop to celebrate her day!  I used the new Bubble Time stamp which will be released January 1st. Isn't she the cutest and she actually looks like she is saying 'hey, leave me alone, it is my birthday!".  I paper pieced most of it and added some glitter to the soap, sorry you can't see it!  Next stop on this birthday train is Kristy!

Fun with Chipboard??

That is normally something I would not say about chipboard BUT today over at There She Goes blog the challenge is to use it on your card so I made an effort. Chipboard and I, well we ain't friends!  Actually, it is more a love/hate thing.  I love seeing it on others cards and thing 'OMG, look at that', but when I go and use it, it is more like 'OMG, look at this piece of junk' so into the garbage it goes!  But after all is said and done, Chip and I became friends!  

I used the Welcome Home set from TSG as the only chipboard I had was this house (can you see it? I should of used darker dp). My BFF Char had made a card using it and I loved it so I went out and got myself a bunch of these as I wanted to copy her card here.  Well this is the second card I have done with it and it has been over a year! 

Make sure you go and visit the TSG blog and play along and use the keyword TSG28. I would love to see what you did with chipboard (it may give me some ideas too for next time).  There are also prizes to be won so don't waste anymore time!  Go and create...teehee!

Mojo Monday!

I LOVE this set from Verve Stamps but it almost makes me cry when I use it as the message behind it is so strong!   Luckily, this disease has not affected anyone close to me and it better stay that way! 

I thought 'why not all pink' when I was making this card as I haven't made alot of monochromatic cards but love when I see others do it!  Make sure you visit the Mojo blog and see all the other great cards to inspire you today!

I was able to find some time this weekend to do the weekly challenge over at Just Us Girls blog.  They have had some great challenges the last couple of weeks which I did miss and was really bummed about it.  But this one I was able to sneak into my weekend! 

I used one of the newest sets from There She Goes  stamps but struggled with the main image as there was so many things to choose from.  At first I coloured the snowballs with a light blue Copic then thought of adding the Candy Dots instead.   And of course buttons, what are my cards without a button these days.

A little 'Surprise' for our Loonie gal Char!

Birthday for a Prettie!

Ok, so I need to tell a quick story first before I continue with my post. 

First, I became the newest member of the Paper Pretties DT and have been very excited and couldn't wait to share the news with you!  Christie came to me (ok I begged) a few weeks ok and I said yes!  So today is my first post with my fellow Pretties and we are celebrating another new DT member Heather's birthday today with a little blog hop.  So I was all ready last night to post my card and so excited for my first Pretties post and found that my Photoshop program was 'gone','missing', MIA!!!!  Of course I panic and yell at my family as obviously they did it, not me!  I just used it a few days ago so it had to be there but no, my DH looked and gone.  (I had done a clean up scan the night before on my computer so maybe it wiped it, who knows) but the reason I am telling you this is that because of all that kaos (and me being away all last week and behind on my cards)  I didn't notice that the challenge also was to do the Wednesday sketch, kind of missed that part!  I could of easily switched my panels too to match the sketch but they are glued down GOOD!  Those puppies aren't moving!  Sorry my fellow Pretties, nice way to start my Design Team job hey!!!!  LOL

I was in Vancouver this past week for the U2 concert. They are my DH's favorite band in the whole world so he was like a kid in a candy shop.  Anyway, we were there till Sunday and had some time to kill on one of our very rainy days and we found a great craft store. I told him I was just running in to check it out and he knows me pretty well so he had a nap knowing my running would be an hour!!   I picked up some new Bo Bunny, Cosmo Cricket and My Minds Eye dp.  This is from a line called Pebbles which I hadn't heard of before, but loved it.  And of course the most greatest sentiment stamps ever from Verve.  Ciao!

Loonie for Copics

It is Regan's turn to pick the challenge and when I saw it I was so excited as when it comes to colouring with the Copics, I need all the practice I can get.  Even after Reg and Dee gave us some pointers in Delaware with shading and blending, I still find I am really not sure what I am doing with them!! LOL 

I kind of went over board on this card, I didn't know when to stop with the flowers, sewing, layers, dots, etc....it is like someone threw-up craft supplies on my card!!!
